Toni McDonald, Certified Colon Hydrotherapist
Toni McDonald was born here in Thunder Bay but has always had a curiosity and a passion for natural methods of healing. This curiosity had her venture to the West Coast a number of years back to search for methods to assist with her own personal healing journey. She grew up with sluggish digestion thinking nothing of it until it was pointed out that the cause of much of her discomfort over the years could be traced back to the gut. This inspired a new learning journey into the Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Body and it is there that she found out the vast importance of a healthy gut. Toni was introduced to the world of Colonic Irrigation and while not knowing just how comfortable she was with the idea of it, also knew steps needed to be taken to heal and maintain proper digestive health. After her first colonic she discovered quickly that the entire process was not as invasive as she thought, and that it was actually quite a comfortable and relieving process. A process that made her feel better than she had up to that point in her life, known that she could feel. Toni enrolled herself in the Certified Colon Hydrotherapy program through Prime Pacific Health Innovations in North Vancouver, British Columbia and graduated from this program in June 2008. Nine years later this passion continues and her belief in this therapy continues to be strong. She is very grateful that she can be in a position to provide this service to the Community of Thunder Bay.
Lori Kajutis, MLT
Lori was born and raised here in Thunder Bay. She received her Medical Laboratory Technologist diploma from the Thunder Bay Institute of Medical Technology in 1990. Lori joined our team in 2005 and performs our live blood analysis, urinalysis and blood grouping. Using a fresh drop of blood from the finger, Lori uses a darkfield microscope to examine the blood while it is alive. This makes it possible to see all the living components of the blood clearly, that would normally be destroyed by staining in conventional lab tests. A video camera and monitor are set up so that the patient can view the whole process. The examination of live blood is valuable for the early detection of serious health conditions.
